Sewing Sensational Tales is a sewing program for children, teens and adults and they will learn how to sew. The cirriculum used is provided by Kids Can Sew & Fashion Design which is a program that has been teaching children to sew since 1983. This is a complete sewing cirriculum that has been nationally and internationally acknowledged.
Sewing Sensational Tales will teach your child, teen or adult sewing machine safety, machine parts, threading a machine and winding the bobbin. Sewing safety is stressed on a weekly basis. This program teaches the student how to properly measure themselves for clothing , cut out their patterns and assemble the final product. This program is definately kid friendly. The children thrive knowing that they are in control of a sewing machine. All children both boy and girl will be proud of their accomplishments.
The KIds Can Sew & Fashion Design cirriculum is a wonderful tool. The cirriculum has patterns and directions designed specifically for kids ages 6-12. The patterns and directions have pictures and easy-to-read directions for even the youngest student to understand. Each student has their own pattern book which is theirs to keep so that they can continue to make their own clothing at home.
The books are approximately 1 year long covering many different items to construct. The children can continue to take the sewing class for as long as they want to. The class is a no stress, no competition class. The class size is no more than 4 students in each session. The class is one hour each week and continues throughout the year. With only 4 students, your child will get the attention he/she needs. The students will learn at their own pace.
